OUR MISSION — Concerned Families of Westchester invites people and organizations in Westchester, concerned about the issues of climate change and global warming, to work with us to build a massive Westchester contingent for the Peoples Climate March. The need is urgent; the time is now; we can do it.

CFOW is a peace-and-justice organization formed in the days after 9/11. We are located primarily in “the Rivertowns,” in the southwest corner of the county; but for the last several years we have worked with friends and allies throughout Westchester on issues of climate change and global warming.

CFOW has been working to build The March since June. We are leafleting on the streets and at farmers markets in the Rivertowns, are holding organizing/outreach meetings, and putting out a short weekly Peoples Climate Change newsletter (email fbroadhead@aol.com for CFOWs PCM newsletter).

We hope that other organizations in Westchester – environmental groups, religious congregations, parents and students, and marchers of all ages – will find this Hub useful. Our intention is to use the Hub to serve the diverse group of people and organizations in Westchester.

Join us! Get involved! Join our Listserve and Facebook Group, tell us who you are, what you’re doing, and where you live in Westchester. We can organize meetings, outreach to our communities, share resources, and do what needs to be done to get a million people on the streets of NYC on September 21st.
